How to Properly Adjust Your Samsung LCD Screen

LCD stands for liquid crystal display, and this is what Samsung uses to backlight its televisions. LEDs, or light emitting diodes, are used for edge lighting.

The company is halting production of LCD screens in 2020, according to industry sources. It plans to refocus its manufacturing operations into quantum dot and organic light-emitting diode displays.

Brightness

Whether you’re watching a movie or surfing the web, it’s important to choose the appropriate screen brightness to avoid eye strain and distraction. Fortunately, Samsung monitors have an on-screen display menu (OSD) that helps you adjust the settings of your screen to suit your preferences or the brightness of your environment.

You can also turn on the Automatic Brightness feature on some Samsung monitors that allows the LCD backlight to automatically adjust its brightness based on the level of ambient light in your surroundings. This improves visual comfort and can help extend battery run time.

Gamma

This will help ensure that your images and videos look consistent on different devices and in different lighting conditions. You can do this by connecting a colorimeter to your computer and then using the calibration software that comes with the device.
